I’m a conservative and I registered with the Republican party because it at least slightly represents a conservative point of view, but honestly, very few Republicans I know and NO Republican leaders/politicians I’m aware of are actually conservative. If I’m wrong, I’m willing to learn, so please correct me.

don’t know conservative lawmakers well, allow me to educate you.
Rep Mike Pence of Indiana, Rep Michelle Bachmann of Minnesota, Rep King of New York, Sen Jim Demint of South Carolina, Gov Bobby Jindhal of Louisiana, Sarah Palin, Bill Brady republican nominee for Governor of Illinois, Senate candidate Marco Rubio in Florida, Rep Paul Ryan of Wisconsin. that help you

@UlyssesArn I think most of those lawmakers want big government involved in the individual citizen’s personal decision-making (against marraige for all, against decriminalizing drugs, etc). Not conservative. I do respect some of what some of them have to say, but generally speaking these people would want government right in their deciding what’s right for you.
